This Anglo-Argentinean teaming has developed over the past five years from what was initially a ‘jazz guitar duo’ to the recording and concert performing project that it is today. We have gradually steered our repertoire away from the jazz standards thing to a more varied programme, aimed at wowing and wooing a very broad listenership.
The live experience
D’Agostino & Oxley have performed in concert halls, theatres, festivals, village halls and jazz clubs all over the UK and Europe. The idea behind our gigs is this: to perform a scintillating and engaging array of pieces that will appeal to anybody interested (even if only mildly!) in the guitar. Our repertoire ranges from tangos - traditional and modern - to works by the likes of Chick Corea, Egberto Gismonti, Joni Mitchell and Norah Jones.

Recordings
We now have two albums out on the 33 Records label (see music/CDs); a studio recording and a live recording. The latter was released in October ‘06 and very much represents what we are doing today. As with the live Curious Paradise album, this was wonderfully engineered by Simon Tuke and Adrian Zolotuhin. Between them, they have achieved an incredibly warm sound whilst absolutely capturing all the vibrancy of the live performance.
NEW: The bigger picture!
We have just teamed up with cellist Bernard Gregor-Smith and violinist Lizzie Ball to form the new quartet Eclectica!. This group has a unique sound and aims to explode any needless audience barriers. Go on, have a look at the page to see more details!
