D’Agostino & Oxley

Double Singular

33 Records (33JAZZ144)

This album contains the meat and potatoes of any current live gig we perform today. You will hear a lot of South American based music including a couple of tangos, a rhumba and a frevo. I have arranged a song by Joni Mitchell and the song made famous by Norah Jones for the duo; I think that we captured nice versions of both of these.

The recording quality is really first class, thanks to the work of the engineers credited below. They have somehow managed to arrive at a warm, lush soundscape, allied with that vital electricity that can only be felt from a live performance. Advice: 1: purchase this album. 2: pour yourself a nice glass of wine/whisky/grappa/cognac etc.. 3: Place disc in best hi-fi, turn up the volume. 4: ensconce yourself in your favourite listening chair near to said hi-fi. 5: Enjoy!
