This is my main guitar. For a ‘jazz’ guitar, it has a really creamy, singing sound. 175s are amongst the cheapest range of the full-bodied Gibson jazz guitars; however, having a laminated belly means that the guitar is much less prone to feedback problems when playing at serious band volumes. I have used this guitar since 1989 when I recorded my first CD under my own name (“Through green And Pleasant lands” [33jazz004]) and I still love it. You can hear it on “Finsbury Park” and “A word From The big Guy” from Blue In Black And White’, on “Alchemie” and “Being There” from ‘East Coast Joys’ on “Nocturnal Navigation” from ‘Curious Paradise’, on “Wild Weather Flash” from ‘English Elements (LIVE!)’ and on “The Peak Of Time” from Now!
